Elements of navigation

Now the Internet has tens of millions of different websites, different themes, functions or information. And in my point of views, there are six absolutely necessary factors.

➩Identify your target audience

This is the most impotent one. The first step in building a website must be to identify your target audience. Before you start designing, it’s important to understand the target audience and the ideal customer. Understanding what your target audience likes and dislikes will have a huge impact on your design and will help you create the site. Also, you need to consider your industry and the products you are selling, who are their targets and who will be your typical customers? Think about their location, age, gender, race, income and even their hobbies. Because different kinds of people have their different beloved.

➩Design your website around your audience

Now that you have a clear target audience, you can start designing your site around them by using the right typography, layout, and style. All of this will affect the way users interact with your site and whether they will eventually buy or leave immediately. Therefore, if you need appropriate interaction and interesting and attractive points, it is essential to match these design elements with the preferences of the target audience. The step of designing a website is to start with a color scheme. The wrong approach may cause visitors to leave your site in a matter of seconds.

➩Choose a color scheme

As you should know, color is a powerful tool, especially in marketing and design. It has the ability to affect users’ mood, thoughts and even emotions. Deciding the main color can be tricky. It’s important to make sure that the color matches your business image and the message you’re trying to convey.

➩Layout

Next you need to consider the overall layout of the website. Age is often a major factor. Young children and older audiences need simple, easy-to-use and easy to understand layout, and need a lot of blank space. Teenagers, young professionals and technically savvy audiences will need something more complex and detailed to keep them entertaining.

➩Fonts and typography

Font size is also important when designing websites. If it is set too small, it may be difficult for users to read it, especially old users. Too large a setting will show that your website is not rigorous enough.

➩Content

The overall style and spacing of the content and how it is placed are key. If you have a young audience, or you’re trying to explain something complex to users, it’s ideal to break paragraphs with little text spacing.

➩Image

Images are necessary for a website. They are usually the first content users see when they log on the page. If you want users to pay attention to them, make sure you have the right style of image. Some viewers will like real photos of certain products and services, while others prefer illustrations to do the work. Please identify which content your target audience prefers because it can have a significant impact on the images on your website.

Thinking like your users, and go through your site asking whether each element is helping, or hindering your visitors.
